Earlier today at work I had a conversation with an adolescent client (who has been struggling lately) and told her that the new year could be a fresh start for her. I encouraged her to remember this and spend some time over the holiday thinking about what the new year could hold for her and what goals she would like to achieve in 2013. In reality, I couldn’t agree with this statement more. I have always loved the idea of a New Year–not so much for the celebrating on New Year’s Eve, but for the possibility the new year holds for everyone.
It is such a refreshing feeling–knowing that you can leave behind all of the bad moments from the previous year behind and take along with you all of the good memories you have made.
Here’s to another year of possibility and “another chance for us to get it right.” I hope everyone has a great start to the New Year.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for read my New Year’s goals.
